After a successful halt at Ambala Cantt., SECAS moved to Amb Andaura in Himacahal Pradesh. It was welcomed by Mr. Sunil Verma, SDO(C) Amb, Una, along with other officials from the Railways.

The During its two day halt at Amb Andaura, SECAS received over 10,000 total visitors, which also included around 3,700 students from 38 different schools and colleges. In addition to the exhibition, the students also enthusiastically participated in the Kids Zone, Joy of Science Lab and Platform Activity. A Teachers Orientation Program was also organized for Primary and Secondary School teachers in which the participants were oriented on using hands-on approaches for teaching different concepts of Science & Mathematics to students. The teachers also made different science based models. To reach out to the students who could not visit the exhibition train, the SECAS team conducted an Outreach Activity at K.V. international School, Amb Andura, in which over 300 students participated.

The last day of the exhibition at Amb Andaura was also the ‘World Science Day for Peace & Development’. On this occasion, the SECAS team conducted different activities for students at the platform which also included a debate competition on the topic ‘Science –a Boon or Curse’. Besides, a discussion on ‘Science at the heart for Sustainable Development’ was also organized, in which the students also shared their opinion and views.

At Amb Andaura, SECAS crossed 50,000 students’ mark in the current phase, till date. Additionally, Science Express, cumulative of all the phases (Phase I-VIII) also crossed 1.35 crore total visitors, till date.

With this, the SECAS exhibition at Amb Andaura, came to a successful end and the SECAS team once again packed up and made preparation for their departure the next station- Churaru Takrala in Himachal Pradesh.
