Platform Activity at Guntur

An outstanding response was received from students as well as general visitors at Guntur, with over 70,000 people visiting the exhibition train in three days. Owing to heavy rush of visitors, the exhibition hours were extended in the mornings as well as evenings. On the last day, SECAS received students from 200 different educational institutions of Guntur – the highest, in a single day, in the current phase.

Apart from the exhibition, the students enthusiastically participated in JOS Lab, Kids Zone and Platform Activity. On the last day of the halt, SECAS team celebrated the birth anniversary of Nicolas Copernicus by organizing a discussion about ‘Life and contributions Copernicus’. It was followed by a Quiz competition for students on Cosmology, in which the winners were also felicitated. Additionally, the team also conducted Outreach Activities at Gems Public School and Shri MGH School, Guntur, in which over 400 students participated. It was well appreciated by the participants.

At Guntur, SECAS crossed 14 lakh total visitors’ mark, 3.5 lakh students’ and 8 lakh general visitors’ mark in the current phase. Besides, Platform Activity also crossed 1.2 lakh students’ participation, in the current phase.

After a successful three-day halt at Guntur, the team once again packed up and made preparations for their journey to the next station –Zahirabad in Telangana.
