Activity at Platform

During its three-day halt at Khajuraho, SECAS registered more than 33,000 visitors; including students form 127 educational institutions. Even the response from general public was overwhelming, with SECAS receiving around 24,000 general visitors. On the last day of its halt, a huge rush was seen, and in spite of it being a Sunday, more than 1,800 students from 54 different educational institutions visited SECAS.

Apart from the exhibition, children and students enthusiastically participated in the activities of Kids Zone, JOS Lab and at the Platform. Additionally, the SECAS team also organized a Teachers Orientation Session for more than 60 teachers from DIET, Panna, Chatarpur, in which the importance of hands-on learning and informal methods of teaching Science and Maths was emphasized upon.

At Khajuraho, institutes and NGOs like CEE, ENVIS Centre and Development Alternatives, extended their support in coordination of SECAS activities, especially the Platform Activities. They also provided their publications and resource materials on ‘Climate Action’ for distribution among students and general public.

After a reasonably successful halt at Khajuraho, the SECAS team once again packed up and made preparation for their departure to the next station Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh.
