On the first day of the halt at Patan, SECAS ‘Reflection Workshop’ was organized to have an overall feedback of the Science Communicators about various aspects of SECAS including the coach content and scope for further improvement. Mr. Kiran Desai, Centre for Environment Education (CEE) and Mr. Dilip Surkar, Executive Director, VASCSC, addressed the team and congratulated them for their consistent efforts. Resource persons from CEE and VASCSC were present during the workshop and also shared their constructive feedback.

During its three day halt at Patan, SECAS received an overwhelming response. More than 44,000 people including students from 40 different educational institutions came to see the exhibition. Dr. Shailesh Kumar K Nagar, Dean, GMERS Medical College, Patan, also visited SECAS and interacted with Science Communicators on Medical & Health Care Technology.

The complementary activities of SECAS in Kids Zone, JOS Lab and on-Platform, also registered good participation at Patan. The team conducted Outreach Activities at Oxford International School and Bhagwati International School, Patan, in which around 1,500 students participated. Besides these, the team also organized a Teacher’s Orientation session for a group of Primary school teachers.

At Patan, SECAS crossed 22 lakh total visitors’ mark. Additionally, Science Express, cumulative of all its phases (Phase I-VIII), also crossed 1.55 crore total visitors.

With this, the scheduled three day halt at Patan, concluded on a successful note and SECAS team once again packed up and made preparations for their departure to the next station - Hapa in Gujarat.
