Platform Activity at Zahirabad

Owing to technical reasons, there was a change in the schedule and instead of Secunderabad, the exhibition train was stationed at Zahirabad. Inspite of this, SECAS team was able to take necessary steps in mobilizing students and general visitors to the exhibition. Altogether, in four days, more than 67,000 people including over 17,000 students of 122 different educational institutions visited SECAS.

Apart from the exhibition, the students enthusiastically participated in JOS Lab, Kids Zone and Platform Activity. Additionally, the team also conducted Outreach Activities at four different schools, in which around 1,500 students participated. Besides, the team also conducted a Teachers Orientation Session for a group of Primary teachers emphasizing on Hands-on Approaches. It was well appreciated by all the participants.

At Zahirabad, SECAS crossed 15 lakh total visitors mark. G. Madhulatta, a student of 8th std. from KGBV, Jharasangam, was felicitated by SECAS team for being the 15th lakh visitor of SECAS. Kids Zone also crossed 45,000 children’s participation, in the current phase. Besides, Science Express, cumulative of all the phases (Phase I-VIII) crossed 1.48 crore total visitors mark.

After a successful four-day halt at Zahirabad, the team once again packed up and made preparations for their journey to the next station –Adoni in Andhra Pradesh.
