From Salmari, SECAS II next moved to Fakiragram in Assam. It was welcomed by Shri R. S. Boigayara, Director of School Education, along with Shri J. P. Brahma, Inspector of Schools, Kokrajhar and Shri A. K. Bastia, Asst. Personal officer, NFR, Alipurduar Division. Shri Hemant Kumar, Asst. Commandant, Armed Forces, visited SECAS II along with his family, and appreciated the efforts of the onboard team.
SECAS II received a very good response at Fakiragarm. Altogether in two days, over 27,000 people including students from 139 different educational institutions visited the exhibition train.The complementary activities of SECAS II in JOS Lab, Kids Zone and Platform Activity also registered good participation.
On the last day of the halt at Fakiragram, a huge rush of visitors was seen throughout the day. During the day, SECAS II received the highest number of school/college (114), highest number of students (7,140) and highest number of teachers (428), in a single day, in the current phase.
Additionally, SECAS II crossed 1,000 schools /colleges and 50,000 student’s visitations at Fakiragram station.
After a successful two day halt at Fakiragram, the team once again packed up and made preparations for their departure to the next station – Lumding in Assam.
