From Patna, SECAS II next moved to Kiul in Bihar. It was welcomed by Mr. Ramesh K Jha, Divisional Railway Manager, Danapur Division, East Central Railway, along with other Railway officials. Mr. Sunil Kumar, District Magistrate, Lakhisarai and Mr. Ashok Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Lakhisarai, visited SECAS & appreciated the efforts of Govt. of India, in spreading awareness about Climate Change through SECAS.
SECAS II registered a good number of visitors, during its two-day halt at Kiul. Despite ongoing exams and scorching heat, more than 16,000 people including students from 21 different educational institutions visited the exhibition train. On the last day, of the halt, huge rush was seen throughout the day at the platform.
The complementary activities of SECAS II in JOS Lab, Kids Zone and at the Platform also registered very good participation. A team from National Innovation Foundation (NIF) extended their support in conducting Platform Activity. They organized a competition for students on ‘Innovative Ideas in Science and Technology’ in which the students enthusiastically participated, and shared more than 100 ideas. SECAS II team also conducted interesting sessions on ‘Science Behind Miracles’ as part of the platform Activity at Kiul. It was very well appreciated by all.
After a successful two day halt at Kiul, the team once again packed up and started their journey to the next station – Sitamarhi in Bihar.
