From Gaya, SECAS II next moved to Patna. It was welcomed by Mr. D. K. Gayen, General Manager, East Central Railway, Hajipur, along with other Railway officials. Mr. Amitabh Kumar Das, IPS, Mr. Sanjay Singh, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Railways, and Mr. Sanjay K. Agrawal, District Magistrate, Patna, visited SECAS II and appreciated the efforts of the on-board team.
At Patna, Dr. Bitapi Sinha, Senior Scientist, from Wildlife Institute of India (WII), visited SECAS II along with her team. They organized an interesting Puppet Show on ‘Namami Gange Programme’ of Govt. of India., at the Platform which was conducted by Mr. Pramod Sharma from NCERT. It was very much appreciated by all. Mr. Pramod Sharma, also conducted an exclusive session on Origami, in the Kids Zone, in which children made different birds and animals using paper.
At Patna, SECAS II crossed 3.5 lakh total visitors’ mark. Additionally, the Platform Activity and Kids Zone crossed 25,000 students’ and 20,000 children’s participation in the current phase. On the last day of the exhibition, Science Express, cumulative of all its phases (Phase I-IX) crossed 16 million visitations. It turned out to be a landmark achievement in the journey of Science Express.
After a successful two day halt at Patna, the team once again packed up and started their journey to the next station – Kiul in Bihar.
