From Chandigarh, SECAS II next moved to Rampur in Uttar Pradesh. It was welcomed by Mr. Vivek Sharma, IRTS, Sr. DCM, MB along with Mr. M. P. Singh, ADM, Rampur. Prof. K. K. Pandey, Dean, and Prof. Prashant Kumar from Tirthankar Mahaveer University, Moradabad, also visited SECAS II at Rampur and appreciated the efforts of DST and MoEFCC in creating awareness about Climate Change and related issues through SECAS.
At Rampur, SECAS II registered a gradual increase in the number of visitors in three days. Altogether in three days, more than 25,000 people, including students from 79 educational institutions of Rampur and adjoining areas visited SECAS II. The complementary activities of SECAS II in Kids Zone, JOS Lab and at the Platform received very good participation. Additionally, on the last day of the halt, SECAS II team conducted an Outreach Activity at Govt. Inter College, Rampur, in which over 100 students participated.
At Rampur, SECAS II crossed 5,500 students’ participation in JOS Lab. Additionally, Science Express, cumulative of all its phases (Phase I - IX), also crossed 35 lakh students as visitors’ mark.
After a successful three day halt at Rampur, the team once again packed up and started their journey to the next station – Kasganj City in Uttar Pradesh.
