The halt at Roha was a new addition to existing itinerary of SECAS II. However, the one day halt turned out to be a record breaking day, with SECAS II receiving the highest number of schools (212), students (16,952) and teachers (1,109), in a single day- in the current phase. It was very encouraging to see that in spite of heavy rains more than 31,500 people visited the exhibition train. Even the complementary activities of SECAS II, in JOS Lab, Kids Zone and at the Platform, received enthusiastic participation.
At Roha, SECAS II team conducted a Teachers Orientation Session for a group of Primary School teachers where they held a discussion on ‘Understanding Education Pedagogy’ and highlighted different case studies. Furthermore, different models and activities based on scientific principles were demonstrated for easy and fun-filled classroom teaching using hands-on approaches. It was well appreciated by the participating teachers.
The Rotary Club, Roha, extended voluntary support to SECAS II team in managing the visitors at the platform.
With this, the halt of SECAS II at Roha came to a successful end and the team packed up and made preparations for their departure to the next station – Mumbai in Maharashtra.
