From Sitamarhi, SECAS II next moved to Samastipur. It was welcomed by Shri Sudhanshu Sharma, DRM, Samastipur. He along with his family and other officials from the Railways visited the exhibition and also appreciated the efforts of the team.
As the exhibition was scheduled for only one day at Samastipur, huge rush of visitors was seen at the platform throughout the day. During the day, around 950 students and over 100 teachers from 12 different educational institutions visited SECAS II. During the second half of the day, a large number of general visitors, including children accompanied by their parents came to see the exhibition.
Apart from seeing the exhibition, the students also enjoyed participating in activities of the JOS Lab, Kids Zone and Platform Activity.
A team from National Innovation Foundation (NIF) extended their support in conducting Platform Activity. They conducted a competition for students on ‘Innovative Ideas in Science and Technology’ at the platform, in which the students enthusiastically participated. SECAS II team also received support from members of The Bharat Scouts and Guides in local coordination and visitor management at Samastipur.
At Samastipur, SECAS II crossed 3 lakh general visitors’ mark and Platform Activity crossed 30,000 students’ participant, in the current phase.
In the late evening, the team once again packed up and made preparations for their departure to the next station – Salmari in Bihar.
